Cat in the “Naughty Corner”
“A cat has absolute emotional honesty.” – Ernest Hemingway

"I only drank from her cup because I was thirsty, honest!!"
Dot’s Thot: Here is my special darling, Tora, who is as lovable as can be. He does try to help at the keyboard and cannot resist trying to get into good-smelling human food. He eats avocado, but finds the texture annoying, as evidenced by the prolonged tongue-licking as he tries to get the stuff off his teeth and down the gullet.
The garden and yard are his favorite places to hang out when he is not sleeping or eating. He behaves like a 10 year old kitten.
Aloha, Dot
Cats’ Brotherly Love and Bad Hair Day
Dot’s Thot: “A brother shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams.” — anonymous

Tofuudi and Tora Wake Up from Nap with Bad Bed Hair
These are Tora and Tofuudi, brother garage cats born in Riverside and adopted as millenium cats.
Tora is named for “tiger” and Tofuudi would have been Leo, except he was such a sweet and lovable cat, soft as tofu, that his name became Tofuudi, partly because one of Cat-momma’s sons used to call “tofu” “tofood”.
They are friendly and lovable as well as fairly large cats — the smaller one is over 17 pounds.
Tora follows Cat-momma around like a dog and a neighbor calls him puppy-cat because of it — she saw him wander off one day and tattled on him. When Cat-momma stood up, called him and clapped her hands, back he bounded and came running, just like a puppy.
Together since kitty-hood, they like to sleep cuddled up together. On this day, they especially did so, because their Cat-momma ran the vacuum.
Ever notice how cat’s hind legs sometimes look like fuzzy drumsticks — like this picture. Of course they woke up with mussed up fur and left a bunch of it behind to be vacuumed up — again..but after all, what their “peeps” are for….
Suitcase Bed: Cat on the Case
Dot’s Thot:

I'm Keeping the Lid on This Travel Nonsense....
“But why, oh why, do the wrong people travel, when the right people stay at home?”
– Noel Coward
From a perfectly loyal puppy-cat point of view, what is up with this travel nonsense?
Why do my humans take to dragging this perfectly good stay-at-home-bed to places that make my bed smell funny?
Strangers touch the bed …I can tell. Thank goodness my humans made it home safely.
My humans say I’m too chubby to carry and that I would go berserk and have motion sickness …hmmm… ..so not even a bike ride for me. But, I weigh only 17 pounds (or so).

So, they go away and leave me and my brother, Tofuudi, at home alone. You would think they would at least bring me back a lousy T-shirt or some yummy goodies or a freaky toy. Somebody, give them a hint already. Oh yeah, bring something for my bro, too.
Kitty purrs and head bumps to you, Remember, if you leave me behind, bring me a peace offering.
Tora (Dot’s Stand-In)
